In late October 2024, State Street Global Advisors rang the closing bell at Nasdaq to launch a new platform—one that I had the privilege of naming: "Getting There Starts Here."
This tagline captures a fundamental truth: everyone has somewhere they want to go, a goal they want to reach, a dream they want to pursue. But the path forward isn't always clear. State Street believes investing shouldn't be limited to those who can afford advisors—it should be accessible to anyone ready to start their journey. This campaign shows how taking that first step—investing—can help turn your goals into reality.
We brought this message to life in Times Square, taking the Nasdaq bell to the streets and inviting the public to ring it with us. With Gwen Stefani performing and hundreds joining in, we set an official Guinness World Record for the Most People to Ring a Bell in One Hour.
"Getting There Starts Here" is more than a platform launch—it's about opening doors for first-time investors while reminding institutional partners why they chose State Street in the first place. At its core, it's about providing the knowledge, tools, and partnership that can transform that first step into a journey toward financial goals.

In a series of spots, Neil and David attempt to become social influencers in their own right—and almost fail miserably. This exclusive kit, packed with diabolically-delicious ingredients, invited fans to create Minion-shaped pizzas.
We encouraged participants to order the kit and enter to win a year of free HelloFresh, a limited-edition Cheese Blaster, movie tickets, and co-branded swag by sharing their Minion pizza creations. The campaign's highlight was a real-life version of Gru's Cheese Blaster, developed with a partner company. This gadget brought movie magic home, allowing users to top their dishes with melty, gooey cheese - just like in the film.
